BANDUNG, SEATIZENS – President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, emphasized that unity and coordination among Muslim nations can thwart the malicious plans of the Israeli regime, which he described as being “from the very beginning, inherently linked to evil and bloodshed.”

In a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday, June 14, Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for Erdogan’s support and solidarity with Iran. Pezeshkian criticized Israel, stating, “Once again, Israel demonstrates that it does not respect human rights or international law.” He added, “They kill civilians, scientists, officials, and military personnel whenever an opportunity arises.”

He also pointed out that Israel’s latest attacks against Iran, which occurred amid ongoing nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington, reveal Israel’s intent to sabotage the negotiations.

“Islamic Republic of Iran always advocates for peace and dialogue,” Pezeshkian said, stressing that Iran strives to strengthen relations with neighboring countries and fellow Muslim nations.

He condemned Israel’s efforts to undermine Iran’s efforts, including the assassination of martyr (Ismail) Haniyeh during his official visit, referring to the Hamas leader killed by Israel in Tehran. Pezeshkian underscored the importance of Islamic unity to oppose Israeli aggression, stating, “Muslim countries must enhance their defensive capabilities and cooperate to maintain peace and development in the region.”

Meanwhile, Turkish President Erdogan strongly condemned Israel’s attacks and extended condolences to Iranian civilians affected by the violence. He accused Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to create chaos in the region. Erdogan also suggested that one of Israel’s objectives with these attacks was to divert attention from its crimes in Gaza.
