BANGKOK SEATIZENS – A speeding pickup truck crashed into a store in Kanchanaburi early Tuesday morning, resulting in three fatalities and one serious injury. The incident occurred at 3:36 a.m. at the Chuk Dueon intersection when the white Isuzu D-Max collided with another vehicle stopped at a red light and veered into a fitness equipment store.
Dramatic Crash Sequence
ACCORDING TO BANGKOKPOST – Surveillance footage captured the moment just before the crash, showing two pickup trucks racing each other as the light turned green. The leading vehicle lost control after hitting another car, causing it to crash into the store entrance. Rescuers from the Pitakkarn Foundation used a truck to pull the Isuzu upright, as it ended up on its side.
Identification of Victims
Two of the deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Watanyu Romkaew and 38-year-old Punyawee Janpien. The identity of the third victim remains unknown. Emergency responders rushed a seriously injured teenager to a hospital following the incident.
Eyewitness Account
The driver of the vehicle struck at the intersection, known as Nueng, reported seeing the speeding Isuzu approaching before the collision occurred. He described the frightening moment when the truck veered into his lane, leading to the tragic accident.
