Bangkok Seatizens – Police have seized assets worth over 70 million baht from celebrity lawyer Mr. Sittra “Tam” Biabungkerd, who faces charges of fraud and money laundering. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) reported that 28 million baht in cash, a luxury home valued at 43 million baht, and several high-end vehicles were confiscated from Mr. Sittra.Investigators, however, are still searching for other items of interest, such as luxury watches and items from a large safe, which was found empty.
According To Bangkok , the CIB is continuing its investigation into four separate cases involving Mr. Sittra, including allegations of a 71-million-baht fraud scheme, cryptocurrency investments, and his luxury Mercedes-Benz cars. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have suggested that more arrest warrants may be issued if new evidence is discovered. Mr. Sittra and his wife, Pathitta Biabungkerd, were arrested after a woman accused them of defrauding her through a fake online lottery scam.

Mr. Sittra is currently in quarantine at Bangkok Remand Prison under standard Covid-19 protocols, while his wife is being held at the Central Women’s Correctional Institution. Officials have reported that his adjustment to prison life has been relatively calm, though some stress has been noted. Authorities are also collaborating with the Anti-Money Laundering Office to trace illicit funds and seize any additional assets related to the investigation.
