BANGKOK SEATIZENS – A Thai man was arrested on Tuesday evening for helping five Chinese nationals illegally enter Thailand from Myanmar. The arrest occurred in Tak province, near the border in Pop Phra district.

According to Bangkok , The Thai man, 28-year-old Mr. Thananchai Saema, admitted helping the five Chinese nationals enter the country illegally. He explained that he was supposed to transport them from Ban Thong Chai in Mae Sot district to another location in Thailand. When the group saw the officers, they abandoned four motorcycles and fled into the forest. Authorities later found the motorcycles nearby.
Mr. Thananchai reportedly earned 1,000 baht per person for helping these individuals cross the border. All six suspects, including the Thai man and the Chinese nationals, were taken into custody and held at the Pop Phra police station. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the illegal border crossing and the role of the individuals involved.
