On going Search Efforts for Missing Child
Reports indicated that the family was in the process of packing to evacuate when the riverbank suddenly crumbled. By 7 PM, rescuers successfully pulled 45-year-old Pitak Khemthong from the mud, but unfortunately, 52-year-old Rachain Kamthong was found deceased. The search continues for 10-year-old Chutima Kamthong, the daughter of the deceased, as hopes for her survival diminish. Rescuers face challenges due to flooding and concerns about the stability of the remaining riverbank, which threatens nearby homes.
