BANGKOK, SEATIZENS –Rescue officials from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation were notified of a fire in a student tour bus. The incident occurred in front of the Future Park Rangsit shopping center on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, near the memorial site, prompting them to respond for inspection.
According to Thai Post, they found a white Mercedes-Benz bus with license plate 30-0423 from Singburi engulfed in flames. The rescue team immediately sprayed water to extinguish the fire, which was later brought under control. The bus was carrying students from Wat Khao Phra Yang Sangha Ram School in Uthai Thani, with a total of 38 students ranging from kindergarten to grade 9, along with 6 teachers. They were traveling in three buses, and the incident occurred on the second bus while en route to the Bang Krui Power Plant.

Chronology
According to Preecha, 50, a school janitor, student tour bus was transporting kindergarten students from Wat Khao Phra Yang School to the historical park in Ayutthaya and the EGAT Learning Center, with a total of 44 people on board. Upon reaching the accident site, the bus’s left front tire burst, causing the vehicle to crash into the concrete barrier in the middle of Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, which led to a rapid and intense fire. Initially, out of the 44 people on board, 19 managed to escape the bus, while some students remained trapped inside, and officials were in the process of rescuing and assessing their condition.

A teacher who witnessed the incident stated that they were en route to the field trip when they saw the flames erupt. The bus doors could not opened, and there were students and teachers inside, with a total of 44 people, 19 of whom managed to escape.
Preliminary reports indicate that approximately 23 people have died, with 3 others injured and transported to Rangsit Hospital.
