Bangkok Seatizens –In Pattani’s Sai Buri district, a six-wheel truck collided with a parked pickup truck carrying students, killing two and injuring twelve others. The accident took place on the Pattani-Narathiwat Road at Ban Laharn village, Village 5, and police received the report around 8:10 AM on November 15.

According to Thaiger, police found the six-wheel goods delivery truck stationary on the road, with the driver, Natthanin Thongsawang, 25, waiting nearby. The parked pickup truck, used to transport students, had visible damage and bloodstains. Consequently, rescue workers quickly transported victims to Saiburi Crown Prince Hospital. Fourteen-year-old Firahan Sani died instantly, while 15-year-old Sa-enah Mukhor later died at the hospital. Additionally, fourteen-year-old Amnul Wa-ngor was severely injured and transferred to Pattani Hospital. Meanwhile, eleven other students suffered minor injuries.

Police investigations revealed that 25-year-old Armin Hama was driving the pickup truck en route to Maikaenkittiwit School in Mai Kaen district. He had stopped by the roadside to wait for a final student when the six-wheel truck unexpectedly collided with the pickup’s right side, causing its side mirror to hit the students positioned at the back.
“The incident is under investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision,” stated Police Colonel Chalermchai Phetkat, chief of Sai Buri Police Station.
This tragic event has cast a shadow over the local community as police work to uncover more details about the circumstances leading to this heart-wrenching accident, reported Bangkok Post.
