Pattaya will dazzle with an international fireworks festival later this month

BANGKOK SEATIZENS – Pattaya will host the International Fireworks Festival 2024 on November 29 and 30, showcasing vibrant displays from five countries. Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet, after chairing a meeting at Pattaya City Hall, ensures the event will be exciting and well-organized, with a focus on safety and success, replicating previous years’ achievements.

ACCORDING TO THAIGER – Pattaya Beach Road will host this year’s Festival of Lights, aiming to meet international standards under the MICE City initiative. The meeting, chaired by Mayor Poramet Ngampichet, addressed last year’s challenges and strategized improvements in event planning, public relations, traffic management, and safety measures. Consequently, they will introduce an emergency lane to cater to any unforeseen incidents during the event. Additionally, this initiative aims to enhance the festival’s overall organization and safety, ensuring a successful and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Moreover, the meeting highlighted the importance of continuous improvement and collaboration to elevate the festival to new heights.

Festival Preparations

To accommodate the festival, authorities will close Pattaya Beach Road from the Dolphin Roundabout to Wat Chai Mongkon Intersection, and Pattaya Central Road from the Tops Intersection to Nipa Lodge Intersection, from 3pm to midnight on both days.

Authorities will enforce parking restrictions along Pattaya Beach Road from 5am to midnight. However, designated parking areas will be available at various locations, including Terminal 21 Pattaya, Lotus North Pattaya, and Central Marina, among others. Mayor Poramet invites both locals and tourists to experience the festival, which will feature over 15,000 fireworks each night. Participating countries include the UK, Germany, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Serbia.

The event will feature 15 fireworks display points along the 2.7-kilometre stretch of Pattaya Beach, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the spectacular show, reported Pattaya News.
