BANGKOK SEATIZENS, In Bang Nam Priao district, Chachoengsao province, 25-year-old Atitwat tragically shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, Namfon, inside her car before taking his own life.
Namfon’s mother, 44-year-old Pannee, shared her grief while retrieving her daughter’s body from the Department of Forensic Medicine in Nakhon Nayok. They prepared for funeral rites at Wat Raman, Bang Nam Priao. Pannee revealed that just days before the incident, Namfon had confided in her about problems with her ex-boyfriend.
According to thethaiger, Namfon had recently passed her teaching exams and had been a teacher for only a year. She moved to Bang Pakong district to be closer to her school. She and Atitwat had been together for about nine years and had rarely experienced major conflicts.

Tragic Incident in Chachoengsao
On October 18, Namfon told her mother she had been distancing herself from Atitwat. That same night, Atitwat visited Namfon’s home, greeted Pannee respectfully, and said they had broken up on good terms but would remain friends.
Despite the friendly exchange, Pannee felt uneasy. She warned Atitwat not to harm her daughter but never imagined he would act violently.
Jealousy Believed to Motivate
Atitwat, seen as a good person who loved his family, left many devastated by his actions. Namfon, who had just started her teaching career, was her family’s hope, according to KhaoSod.
Believing that Namfon was talking to another teacher, Atitwat felt hurt and jealous, which led him to commit the crime.
In related news, a Thai woman, 31-year-old Am, escaped after being held hostage and sexually assaulted by her ex-boyfriend for four days in his Bangkok condo. Am continues to receive chilling death threats and has sought help from a top Thai government official.
